BACK TO
THE ORIGIN
Returning to the origin implies that there has been a distance from it. In the Homeric epic, Ulysses embarks on a long journey full of dangers and temptations. Neither the promise of eternity, beauty or fame nor the seductive songs of the sirens make the hero give up his efforts to return home. And it was only after having overcome countless difficulties that he could arrive triumphantly at his place of origin. Thus, the work of Juan Carlos del Valle also poses a nostos, a circular journey where the end is at the beginning and death is a birth.
